2020 Resolution- Become a PADI Instructor with the new and revised PADI IDC.
In order to set up our candidates for success, we are now teaching the new, revised PADI IDC.
The New Revised PADI Instructor Development Course brings major updates and changes with more real-life scenarios and workshops.
The most important change is that all the classroom presentations are now in digital version, as most people have access and internet and are using tablets, smartphones even in remote areas. This means that you can instantly start your IDC when you sign up and you can learn at your own pace. It is also a very eco-friendly option which makes us very proud of being part of such an environmental aware organisation.
There are more workshops to emphasize realistic scenarios that encourage candidates to Think Like an Instructor.
Real life scenarios include candidates practising teaching with and without an assistant. There is also the option to practice confined and open water teaching presentations in dry simulation mode to better prepare candidates for in water presentations.
The Revised PADI IDC – Key Differences
- Increased focus on interactivity including new workshops.
- Candidates complete two additional rescue scenarios:
- Rescuing a panicked diver at the surface.
- Removing an unresponsive diver from the water and administering emergency oxygen using a rescue breathing mask.
- A new emphasis on perseverance – telling students they have not learned something yet positions mistakes as a positive part of the learning process.
- Candidates learn how to use PADI Digital Products and online tools such as the PADI Online Processing Center (OLPC).

We also welcome the candidates with a mentoring internship and offer free instructor course preparation workshops ahead of the training.
